Ezekiel 28 — The guardian cherub and the fall of a ruler.
Read Ezekiel 28:11–19. Like Isaiah 14, this passage begins by addressing a human ruler — the king of Tyre — but quickly shifts into language that goes far beyond any earthly king.
Ezekiel describes a being who:
